All Upgrades/Downgrades are done during our Server Maintenance Window, between 12-6 a.m. EST, Monday-Friday. In both instances, you will need to always back up your data to prevent data loss during migrations, downgrades, or upgrades.

You can provide default account payment information for your account. To do this, follow the instructions below.

1. 1. Login to your”My Account” at https://website-dev.ait.tools/ (see the link at the top of this page).
2. 2. Click on Domain Management first.
3. 3. Then click “Payment History” and then “Add Payment Information.”
4. 4. Add the credit card information on this form, and save it.
5. 5. Be mindful that this credit card will be used for any registrations that you perform, along with any auto-renewal, and premium domain service options that you’ve setup for any domains.

Change or remove your payment information

To change or remove your payment information, do the following:

1. 1. Login to your”My Account” at https://website-dev.ait.tools/ (see the link at the top of this page).
2. 2. Click on Domain Management first.
3. 3. Then click “Payment History” and then select the option to remove or change.
4. 4. Add the new credit card information on this form, and save it if your intent is to change the card on file.
5. 5. Be mindful that this credit card will be used for any registrations that you perform, along with any auto-renewal, and premium domain service options that you’ve setup for any domains.

Why add payment information?

Having payment information on file will enable you to quickly check out for new domain registrations. It will also be used for manual domain renewals, as well as any auto-renewal of domain names, which happens at 7 days before the expiration date. This is also used for the payment for the yearly Premium Domain Service. If your credit card expires, auto-renewals will not complete successfully, nor will Premium Domain Service (PDS) charges. PDS services could be cancelled, and your domain may fall into the Redemption Period if a domain is not renewed.

• Balance Forward:The amount transferred from the previous billing system.
• Previous Balance Credit:Credits transferred from the previous billing system.
• Account Adjustment Credit: Used to correct when a customer was billed incorrectly. Will show as a CR in the last column.
• ACH Payment: Processed by Cash Management – will take 24 HOURS to process from time of documentation.
• CC Payment: A credit card payment.
• Accelerated Contract : Used when closing or canceling a customer account and the customer is still under contract.
• Disk Usage: the charge for the highest daily overage for the previous month.

This term can be confused with the “domain transfer” from one domain registrar to another, which can happen without transferring the web hosting from one company to another. For further details on domain transfers from one domain registrar to another click here.

If you are looking for information about transfering a domain name from another web hosting company to AIT’s hosting, then you are in the right place. To do so, there are 4 simple steps.

1. Obtain a web hosting account with AIT. – If you have already done this step, proceed to step 2. If you have not yet signed up for a web hosting account with AIT, do so through our Compare Plans and Prices page.
2. Point your DNS to AIT– Commonly referred to as “domain pointing”, this step involves going to the registrar for your domain, and modifying the DNS information to be that of AIT’s.  AIT’s DNS information is as followed:

9. Propagation – Once you have changed your DNS, you will need to wait approximately 72 hours for your domain name change to propagate through the 13 root servers of the world. This means that other DNS servers will need to recognize your change before you will be able to view your site by the domain name.

There are two ways you can handle this for your Web Hosting account. You can either print up your monthly statement each month from your Online Customer Care Center, or you can ask for paper statements to be mailed to you. Please understand there is a $2.00 per month charge to have your monthly statement mailed to you.

If you prefer, we can always send the invoices, and statement to you in an email as an attached html, or as a straight text file, and you could print this for your records.  You can select your options in our online billing interface located at //order.aitcom.net when you login.

Domain Registration:

If you wish to have receipts for your domain registration, transfer or renewal purposes, follow the directions below.

1. Login to the Domain Management Tool.
2. Once logged in, click “Account Management”, then “View Payment History”.
3. Click the “view” link next to the transaction you’re looking for and a receipt will be displayed.

If you are using AITDomains “Manage DNS” system:

1. Login to the Domain Management Tool here:https://dmt.aitdomains.com/
2. Click, “Manage Domains.”
3. Locate the appropriate domain name and click the, “Simple DNS Management” icon (resembles a pencil & ruler).
4. Clicke the, “MX Record” tab.
5. Fill in the host name(s) for each mail server under, “Name.”
6. Fill in the priority number(s) under, “Preference.”(You may click, “Preview” to preview the zone file for this domain.)
7. Click, “Save.” (These changes are real-time and will take approximately 30 minutes to update across all name servers.)
8. Be sure your name servers for the domain in question are ns0.nameservices.net and ns1.nameservices.net.

If you are using AIT for Web Hosting:

1. Login to, “My Account” at the top-left of this page. You may also login here:https://order.aitcom.net
2. Under “Additional Plans,” look for, “MX Record Modification.”
3. Add this to your cart and check out.
4. The charge is a one-time fee of $20.00 per change.

Phishing is the act of sending an e-mail to a user while falsely claiming to be an established, legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information, which will be used for identity theft. The e-mail directs the user to visit a web site where they are asked to update personal information, such as passwords and credit card, social security, and bank account numbers, that the legitimate organization already has.

What can I do to protect myself?

The best way to protect yourself is simply to be skeptical. If you receive an e-mail from a place you do business with stating they have lost your information, do not be afraid to contact that business directly! Another good way to see if this is a scam or not would be to view the source code of the e-mail.

If the e-mail says you need to go to EBay to update your card information, view the code of the HTML in the e-mail to see if it REALLY is taking you to EBay.

In most e-mail readers, viewing source is as simple as right clicking and selecting, “View Source.”

An example of what to look for would be:

< a href=”//123.456.789.012/custreg.html > BobsVisa.com < /a>

Note that it looks like you are going to BobsVisa.com, but you are really going to //123.456.789.012/custreg.html

In the E-mail itself, without viewing source, the previous line would look like:

BobsVisa.com

If you request to be moved from one OS to another, there are some important items to note.

1. AIT will not migrate your email accounts or your web data.  For most OS moves, due to the fact that the data structure is different and scripting languages are different, AIT will not migrate your web and email data.  You will be responsible for backing up your files before submitting the change request, and you will be responsible for uploading your data once the new account has been setup for you.
2. If you wish for AIT to migrate your data, please be aware there is a $100 per hour fee to do so.
