As a reseller of websites, there may come a time when you wish to limit access to one of your customer’s virtual host(s). The reasons for limiting the access maybe due to include non-payment from your customer, violation of your contract or agreement, etc…

Linux Fully Managed Accounts

In your  SMT 5.0 has a built in feature that will allow you to disable their account without deleting their site. To disable HTTP services, you will need to login to the SMT 5.0

  1. On the left hand margin, you will see a link titled “Web Services”, click on this and then click on “Manage”. In the next list of links, select “Edit Virtual Hosts”.
  2. You will be given a list of all of your sites, beside each domain name there is a radial button, click on the server that you wish to limit.
  3. You will see beside the domain, you will have an option to “Disable Virtual Hosts”.

Windows

The Windows  SMT 5.0 has a built in feature that will allow you to disable their account without deleting their site. To disable HTTP services, you will need to login to the SMT 5.0 using your reseller@yourdomain.com user name.

  1. In the left hand margin, you will see a link titled “Web Services”, click on this and then click on “Manage”. In the next list of links, select “Edit Virtual Hosts”.
  2. You will be given a list of all of your sites, beside each domain name there is a radial button, click on the server that you wish to limit.
  3. At the bottom of the page you will see several buttons: Start, Stop, Pause, Continue, Properties.
  4. Click on the Stop button after selecting the domain in question and this will stop their site from resolving, and to get it working simply click on the start button.
