When installing Adobe Flash on Windows Server 2012, the website tells you that you already have it installed and just need to enable it. This is because Adobe thinks the operating system you are on is Windows 8. This is due to the User Agent being similar/the same. To correct this, you have to do the following steps in order to enable it on Windows Server 2012.

  1. Open Server Manager
  2. Select Manage
  3. Click Add Roles and Features
  4. Click the Feature tab
  5. Under User Interfaces and Infrastructure select Desktop Experience
  6. Reboot the server
