How do I rename a virtual host using the SMT 5.0?

Linux

  1. Ensure that all of your data is backed up. This is the most important step.
  2. Login to your SMT 5.0 for Linux.
  3. Delete the virtual host you desire to rename. This will remove all email accounts as well as all virtual host configurations and data.
  4. Once you receive a success message, add a new virtual host with the new domain name.
  5. After all of the above steps are completed you will upload your files to the newly added account.

*** If you delete the virtual host before you backup your files they will be deleted so please make sure you back them up first!!

Windows

  1. Ensure that all of your data is backed up. This is the most important step.
  2. Login to your SMT 5.0 for Windows using the reseller@yourdomain login.
  3. Delete the virtual host you desire to rename. This will remove all email accounts as well as all virtual host configurations and data.
  4. Once you receive a success message, add a new virtual host with the new domain name.
